LOTTO-Förderpreis at the Rheingau Music Festival
The laureate concert on the 18th July 2018 in Schloss Johannisberg during the Rheingau Music Festival with Emmanuel Tjeknavorian and his duo-partner of many years, Maximilian Kromer, was a celebration of music and camaraderie. The program consisted of works by Clara Schumann, Johannes Brahms and Cesar Franck, a tribute to the renowned festival's theme this year: "friendship". At the end of the concert Tjeknavorian was presented with the LOTTO-Förderpreis by the festival's artistic director Michael Hermann. The Rheingau Music Festival awards the prize to young musicians who are at the beginning of a promising career. Emmanuel Tjeknavorian received the prize along with his best friend Maximilian Kromer, who accompanied him during both this concert and his debut back in 2017. The Hessische Rundfunk review from 19th July 2018 stated: "Emmanuel Tjeknavorian made the violin glow" and "one of the highlights of the Rheingau Music Festival so far".
